I Don't Have a Sewing Machine. Can I Take Class?
Yes! We have sewing machines for you to use so there is no need to own a machine. All project work is intended to be done in class. If you would like to bring your own machine that would be fine too, as long as it is in good repair and has been serviced.
I Don't Think My Child (Or I!) Could Learn To Follow a Sewing Pattern. How Can a 6 Year Old Learn?
Our patterns are not the standard, commercial patterns you have seen before. These patterns are specially developed to ensure that a 6 year old can follow them and have immediate success without frustration. Kids, teens, and adults alike will have a project to enjoy even after their very first class. After working with our program you will be ready to learn commercial patterns.
What Will I Make?
If you have never used a sewing machine before, we will start with making a fun accessory such as a sunglass case, a headband, an apron, etc. After this class the possibilities are endless! Depending on your interest, you can join classes focused on clothing, home decor, accessories; the sky is the limit.
What Do I Need To Provide?
You don't need to provide a thing for your first "Learn to Use a Machine" class. Out clothes making classes may require you to bring your own fashion fabric of choice. This will be discussed upon registering.
