I DON'T HAVE A SEWING MACHINE.
CAN I TAKE CLASS?
Yes! We have sewing machines for you to use so there is no need to own a machine. All project work is intended to be done in class. If you would like to bring your own machine that would be fine too, as long as it is in good repair and has been serviced.
I don’t think I could learn to follow a sewing pattern.
At Sweet Ro we don’t assume that you know the jargon and symbols used in sewing or sewing patterns, and we work hard to explain these new concepts in a way that you can relate to real life. The patterns discussed in the “Introduction to Apparel Sewing Patterns” class are specially chosen solely for their “teachability”. If there is still a concept you are struggling with, just reach out for some one-on-one explanation. We want everyone to succeed.
WHAT WILL I MAKE?
If you have never used a sewing machine before, we will start with making a fun accessory such as a sunglass case, a headband, an apron, etc. After this class the possibilities are endless! Depending on your interest, you can join classes focused on clothing, home decor, accessories; the sky is the limit
WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?
You don’t need to provide a thing for your first “Learn to Use a Machine” class. Our clothes making classes may require you to bring your own fashion fabric of choice. This will be discussed upon registering.
